The State Election Commission had warned the T leaders against provocative or abusive speeches used in the by-elections.
The State Election Commissioner, I V Subba Rao’s warning had almost sealed the TRS and the Telangana JAC, the Student JAC, against making abusive and provocative statements.
Leaders of the JACs and the TRS have been hurling abuses at the Congress and Telugu Desam for their decision to contest the by-elections. They have also issued threats to these parties and said they would not allow the candidates to campaign in the villages.
The TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao and the JAC chief Prof. Kodandaram have appealed to the voters to stone the Congress and Telugu Desam leaders if they visited their villages seeking votes.
Putting an end to these threats, the EC had sealed their lips. The EC said it would disqualify the candidates if they made any threatening or provocative statements or speeches during the campaign.
It is to be seen what the T leaders would do to get the votes and retain the seats.
