The Kadapa MP, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, around whom the politics are running, said he was pained at the resignation and other threats being issued by some of the MLAs and Ministers in his support. He wrote an open letter to all his supporters on Wednesday, in which he wanted the party leaders and cadre to leave the decision (of making him as the Chief Minister) to the high command.
Jagan said the party high command was aware of the reality in the State and expressed confidence that the high command would take right and acceptable decision.
He said every attempt to harm the interests of the party would also be considered as insult to late Dr Rajasekhar Reddy. He wanted every leader to restrain from causing damage to the party and wait for the high command to act on the issue.
He also appealed to the party cadre to extend support to the leadership in the membership drive. Jagan is likely to join the membership drive in Kadapa on October 2.
Though Jagan did not make his mind clear on the demand for his appointment as Chief Minister, it is understood that he is also aspiring for the top slot. It is interesting to note that he remains non-committal on the issue which is rocking the State politics.
