Tamannah, the golden girl of south Indian films, has been signed up to play the female lead in the remake of the Telugu superhit, 'Kick'. She will reprise the role played by Ileana in the Telugu original. Jayam Ravi will play the male lead.
Tamannah has been part two the biggest hits in recent Kollywood history--Dhanush's 'Padikkadhavan' and Suriya starrer 'Ayan'. She has completed shooting for Lingusamy's action extravaganza 'Payya'. Currently, she is busy with 'Kandein Kadhalai', a remake of the Bollywood hit, 'Jab we Met'.
Jayam Ravi's brother, Jayam Raja will direct the Tamil 'Kick'. Though the original was no blockbuster, the film had helped to revive the career of Ravi Teja.
