Kamilini Mukharajee was the heroine of Gamyam with hero Sharwanand.She played role Dr. Janaki. The film was remade in Tamil and Kannada-Kamilini played the same Janaki roles in Tamil and Kannada.
Now the film is being remade in Bengali where Kamilini is playing the same role of Janaki. Bangali is Kamilini's mother tongue.
Sumalatha of yester year's heroine played similar roles in remake of Chiru's Khaidi in several languages.
Genelia is another heroine doing the same role in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi Bollarillu- the role of Hasini.
