Lok Satta president and Kukatpally MLA Dr Jayaprakash Narayan has agreed for an open debate with his Telugu Desam counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu on election expenditure.
In a letter to Naidu, JP said it is a question of sincerity and integrity in politics and such debates would be helpful in exposing who is sincere and who is not. “Let the discussion be in the presence of all the media and other intellectuals. Both of us should disclose the election expenditure of both the parties,” JP suggested.
The Lok Satta president clarified that his party activists had only expressed their protest before the NTR Trust Bhavan and not resorted to any dharna. “Unfortunately, there is no line differentiating the two,” he said.
