The episode of former minister and Telugu Desam Party leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav has taken an anti-climax on Thursday, with party president N Chandrababu Naidu virtually beseeching him to stay back in the party.
Going by the developments till morning, it was more or less certain that Talasani would be either suspended from the TDP or he would quit the party on his own. He had even told the media that he would not be attending the meeting of the three-member committee constituted by Naidu to seek Talasani’s explanation on his recent anti-party activities. The party also proposed to ask why he had met Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy recently.
However, the situation took a new turn after Talasani met Naidu at his residence in the morning. He went to Naidu and cordially invited him for the Secunderabad Bonalu celebrations on Sunday. Both Naidu and Talasani had a closed-door meeting for a long time. And Talasani came out and declared that he would not leave the TDP, which was like his own mother. He said he would not talk about United Andhra issue, which is not an election issue now. And he also denied the reports that he had met YSR.
Talasani also declared that he would stop the survey being conducted in the city on the Telangana demand.
