The hitec Chanakya Chandrababu Naidu who has been trying desperately to make his presence felt in the political circuit seems to have got into another mission. Apparently, the Telugu Desam Party has been criticized for being a very caste oriented party and the ‘Kamma’ groups were given major preference. Now, to give a new look to TDP, it is heard that he wants to call many Reddys and Brahmins into the party unlike before. He is said to be using the strategy like Mayawathi did in UP with encouraging the strong Brahmin community though she being an SC. This will be a challenge to Naidu as both the Reddys and Brahmins have been staunch followers of Congress since decades. Though there has been a dissent of sorts from a few, Naidu is said to be keen on working this formula to reach to the farthest corners of the Telugu communities. He feels that his party can survive only diluting the image of ‘kamma dominated party’. | |
