The original name of heroine Sushmita who has acted in films like ‘Gavvalata’ and ‘Galli Kurrallu’ is Srija. Srija’s aunt (mother’s younger sister) Devi is a film artiste. As her father has deserted them when she was a child, her aunt herself has taken care of her. She has also got her some chances as heroine.
