Srinivas who remained silent on the Telangana issue until the high command cleared his candidature for the Nizamabad Urban Assembly seat, opened his mouth and has become a laughing stock.
The other day, he said that the AICC chief Sonia Gandhi had cleared the Telangana issue and the Srikrishna Committee too would come up with a pro-Telangana report. In less than 24 hours, he said he would not contest the elections if the TRS gave him assurance on Telangana state.
Again, he said people of Nizamabad were dreaming to see him as Cabinet Minister and that was why he was contesting the by-election. He is only honouring the sentiment of the people by contesting the election. Well, there are people who do not want to see Srinivas in active politics. Is he prepared to honour those feelings too?
