Is consensus in Assembly compulsory for T-State

Yesterday when server leaders from the "Samaikya Andhra" The Union Finance Minister and Congress Core Committee member, Mr Pranab Mukherji, has said that a resolution by the Andhra Pradesh Assembly was necessary for the Centre to act on the decision to create Telangana state.

Mr Mukherjee has clarified that it was imperative that the Assembly passed a resolution asking the Centre to bifurcate the state, without such a resolution, division of the state was not possible.

Mr K. Chandrasekhara Rao, has said the Telangana state had already become a reality and there was nothing on earth which could stop it now. He also contended that there was no need for the Assembly to pass a resolution consenting creation of the new state.

Now it is the constitutional experts who had to take the responsibilty of clarifying this issue in an open debate through either media or directly raising this issue in the Assembly and Parliament!!
