Williams could well be barred from playing in the Australian Open in 2010 as well as for her irrational outburst against a baseline judge in the US Open semi-finals. She is being investigated by the International Tennis Federation and could face a ban of up to two grand slams.
Although she was fined 11,300 Australian dollars for breaching the sport's code of conduct, she could face a ban of up to 15 years if the ITF conclude that her nude photoshoot is a 'major offense'. The motto of the ESPN Body Issue magazine is “All nude. Tastefully done.” The magazine hits stands tomorrow, October 9th.
Serena is just one of several prominent athletes posing nude for the October issue of ESPN Magazine and she is one of six athletes to be showcased on the cover. ESPN magazine will run the Body Issue every year. Reportedly Tiger Woods was also approached to pose in the buck for ESPN, he had declined.
