The Film
Bendu Apparao is a regular mainstream movie with a good mix of emotional family drama and entertaining comedy tracks.
The Synopsis
Bendu Apparao is a Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) in a village. Though he is not adept in his profession people get cured by his medicines and he becomes the darling of the village.
He also needs a lot of money to be given as dowry to his brothrer-in-law (Krishna Bhagwan). He meets Padma ( Kamna Jetmalani) daughter of the benevolent village landlord (Ahuthi Prasad) and romance blossoms between them.
ReviewOne day Apparao and his friends (Uttej and Srinivas Reddy) are coming home after watching a cinema and find a man lying on the road who is on the verge of death. He has a bagful of money and requests Apparao to hand over the money to his family and breathes his last.
In spite of his best efforts, Apparao is unable to locate the family of the dead man. With part of the dead man’s money Apparao builds a school in the village and the rest of it is divided between him and his two friends and they are now comfortable without any financial troubles.
One fine day the dead man’s family arrives in the village. What happens from then on forms the rest of the story.
The Performances
Allari Naresh has evolved into a mature actor fits into his role perfectly. Kamna Jethmalani and Meghana Raj provide the glamour quotient. Ahuti Prasad and Telangana Sakuntala look convincing and credible. Uttej and Srinivas Reddy perform well. Krishna Bhagwan is his usual self. The troupe of Jeeva, Kondavalasa, AVS, Raghu Babu, Subhashini, Dharmavarapu, L B Sriram and Suman Shetty effectively conduct the laugh riot.
The Techniques
EVV Satyanarayana has come out with an entertainer that has a fair mix of comedy and family drama and the story is narrated well. The screenplay is OK in spite of some shortfalls. The rural background has helped the Bendu Apparao character look authentic. The music is pleasing. Cinematography and editing are good.
The Verdict
Bendu Apparao RMP treats you with hilarious laugh riot and EVV has truly given a good Diwali gift through this film. Go, watch and enjoy.
