Priyamani who plays a vital role in Maniratnam’s latest Tamil flop film Ravannan acts in a rape scene. During a recent interview to a popular movie web site she replying to a question said that, “If a rape scene is there in a film and the story demands for it, I have no objections to act in such scenes. After all, it is part of our profession to act in any kind of scenes. As far Ravannan is concerned, the rape scene is the foundation of the movie. Vikram plans to take revenge on Prudhviraj only because of this scene. It’s impossible to forward the story without that rape scene. So, I do not find any fault with that rape scene. If, the story demands I am ready to act in such scenes again. But, it should be a part of the film and should not be an added attraction.”
