Lata Mangeshkar Award to Sreeram Chandra was announced by the AP State Govt. to when Sreeram Chandra won the Indian Idol 5 contest.
In the afternoon, Sreeram Chandra made his maiden press conference at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad after being announced as winner Indian Idol 5.
Sreeram thanked one and all who have supported him in this contest and particularly hailed media for the support and encouragement.
Recalling that he first sung Lata Mangeshkar song “Vande Maataram” in his school, Sreeram said that he’s very happy and grateful for the AP Govt. I surely enjoy this responsibility and love being a good human being. The greatest compliment I got was from Lata Mangeshkar when she said that I love the Sreeram Chandra song in Indian Idol 5”.
Sreeram Chandra will also be felicitated by India Prime Dr. Minister Man Mohan Singh on August 30th.
