Legendary screen icon Suchitra Sen has been hospitalized with a respiratory infection and chest congestion. Her condition is stable and she has been kept under observation in the intensive therapy unit of a private hospital. Sen, who turned 79 in April, was admitted to the hospital on June 20 in a critical condition. She has been under treatment for the last 11 days and her condition has gradually improved, say doctors. Hospital sources say she has been kept on oxygen and is being put on nebulizer at regular intervals. "She is responding to the treatment and will be kept under observation for some more days," said Pradeep Tandon, CEO of Belle Vue where she is under treatment.
