During the annual jatra in Bhimili, a girl from Rajahmundry (Saranya Mohan) comes to Bhimili for the jatra and a chord of affection bonds her and Suri. The Bhimili team goes to the Rajahmundry competitions and with the help of coach (Kishore) achieve their aim of winning a tournment after a tragic sacrifice.
Performances
Nani acquits himself well as the team leader. Saranya is more of a cosmetic addition. All others play their roles with author backed delienation.
Analysis Though the story is from a Tamil original, the rural backdrop of the film with Telugu nativity has been captured well. The incidents sometime appear contrived. The real culprit is the screenplay which does not sustain the interest of the audience. The cinematography is good. The music does not help much to uplift the film from inherent mediocrity.
Film : Bhimili Kabaddi Jattu is a story of struggle and triumph through the passion for the game Kabaddi. This is a remake of a Tamil film.
eRojuStory Verdict : Bhimil Kabaddi Jattu is a good attempt but results in an uninteresting narration that may not sustain the interest of the audience. The film is good in parts but on the whole a disappointment.
