The Movie Artistes'Association (MAA) is organizing a cricket match for Tollywood actors, probably on December 13, to raise fund for extending financial assistance to poor and downtrodden film artistes.
The Association is said to be facing a severe crunch of funds and is finding it difficult to continue the welfare scheme. The number of aging artistes is on the increase each year so it is right to mobilize funds by holding the match, MAA president Murali Mohan said.
The Association wrote to all the 24 crafts of the film industry to extend their cooperation to the proposed event. The event management is entrusted to VRK Event Solutions. More details are awaited.
