Mani Sharma debuts in Bollywood
Popular Tamil-Telugu music director Mani Sharma, known as "Swara Brahma" for his contributions to music, started his career as a keyboard player in late 80s under the guidance of music director Sri Satyam. As a keyboard player, he used to tour with many playback singers including S.P. Balasubramaniam. In 1998, he debuted as a full-fledged music composer with AVM's Super Heroes and has composed music for over 100 films so far.

The latest happening in this talented music director's career is that Mani Sharma is debuting in Bollywood with renowned director-screenwriter-producer Ram Gopal Varma's upcoming bilingual Rakta Charitra, being made by Madhu Mantena in Hindi and Telugu. Notably, it was Ram Gopal Varma who gave Mani Sharma his first break as a keyboard player.

Rakta Charitra has Vivek Oberoi playing the lead role as rebel-turned politician Paritala Ravi, one of the most-feared individuals in the blood-ridden faction politics of South India; Tamil-Telugu actor Suriya plays the role of Maddalcheruvu Suri, Paritala Ravi’s opponent.

Yesteryears Bollywood super hero and politician Shatrughan Sinha plays the role of late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) in the Hindi version of Rakta Charitra, while Telugu actor Mohan Babu will be seen as NTR in the Telugu version. The film will start shooting soon in Hyderabad.
