Kadapa Member of Parliament Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy’s return here on Monday after a fortnight-long absence .
Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy, after a visit to Idupulapaya last month, was scheduled to return and chalk out a plan to visit families of those who died or committed suicide after Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s demise.
Programme changed
However, the programme was dropped following unprecedented floods, forcing him to visit the affected areas in Kadapa district, which were battered by Kundu river.
Fewer meetings
During the last two weeks there were fewer meetings at the residence of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s close aide K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao and a complete halt to public posturing by YSR loyalists.
By maintaining a low profile till the Maharashtra, Haryana and Arunachal Pradesh elections, the YSR camp wants to bide its time despite the aggression shown by Dr. Reddy’s detractors.
“The situation is so confusing that some legislators are reluctant to even visit the CMO for official work lest their presence sends wrong signals to the YSR camp,” he remarked.
“We are confident that the AICC president will certainly invite Mr. Jagan for discussions. Until such time, we do not want to get into any trouble. We are much wiser now after some of our actions proved counterproductive,” a YSR camp follower said.
