The current situation in Andhra Pradesh politics is something that this state has never experienced or witnessed before. The untimely and shocking death of Y S Rajasekhar Reddy has led to a pandemonium of sorts and since then, the only question is- who is the rightful heir to his chair?
In a way, many have been looking at Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, son of YSR as the rightful heir but then there are mixed versions as to how and why he should or should not be the next CM.
While the political experience he has is definitely a setback for handling such a crucial post, it must be said that there is a clash of public sentiment versus practical ruling that is going on here.
Keeping all that aside, what could be the cause for promoting Jagan as the rightful candidate. Many say that there are two reasons for that – fear and admiration.
On one hand, the impact of YS has been quite strong on the masses and this has triggered them to register that it is only Jagan who would carry forward his father’s vision and welfare of the poor. On the other hand, there are also those who move in close proximity with Jagan and who are said to be taking care of his many ventures so if the young politician is to become the CM, then the doors of power will be in abundance and works can be achieved easily.
This is more of a thought with motive though. And then there is another group which has been supporting Jagan’s candidature but that is out of pure fear. It is said that Jagan is a rather dominating and aggressive person and given his hot blooded nature, the chances are that risk factors will be high if someone is trying to mess with him.
For now, Jagan has received a setback since the Congress High Command has decided a status quo and is working on various means to compensate for Jagan. Also, they are waiting to see whether this frenzy is going to hold on for few more months and that will give the party head Sonia Gandhi to take a call.
However, that has not stopped Jagan from making his plans and it is said that he has been working on various options on how best he can project himself to be the right person to lead this state forward. Only time will tell whether it is the ‘Abhimaanam’ or ‘Bhayam’ or both that would shower power for Jagan.
