The state Congress leaders sitting in New Delhi have got a new weapon to attack Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who is all out to grab the Chief Minister post.
The weapon was given to them by none other than Jagan. Whether it was deliberate or unintentional, Jagan did not make any mention of either the Congress party or Sonia Gandhi, while addressing a massive gathering of people at Nallakaluva in Kurnool district on Friday. He spoke about his father, his policies and programmes, but he did not utter a word about the Congress party or Sonia. Though one might assume that he avoided it only because it was a condolence meeting, but he remained silent when his supporters on the stage were demanding Sonia Gandhi to make him as the CM.
“He should have taken the name of Sonia Gandhi and the Congress. His father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy could become the Chief Minister, only because of the party and party president. It was unfortunate that Jagan forgot this fundamental point,” AICC spokesman and Rajya Sabha member K Kesava Rao said.
The anti-Jagan leaders immediately carried this point to Sonia Gandhi and other leaders in the high command; and that would obviously spoiled Jagan’s chances further!
