Telugu TV channels are not coming forward to buy ‘satellite’ rights of the new films. Almost 150 such films are lying unsold now. Usually the filmmakers get not Rs 30 to Rs 40 Lakhs a film.
This will facilitate the producers to meet their last round of expenditure, say, paying the bills of the labs and print charges. After exhausting every pie, small time producers look for this money.
But the channels, which are running into losses, are content with the films they have already bought. They are transmitting the same old films again and again observing the birth days of the heroes.
