Web campaign seeking Nobel prize for YSR

HYDERABAD: A web campaign seeking public support for a Nobel Peace Prize bid for Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and his government, for their services for the uplift of the poor, has been launched recently.

A dedicated blog `nobelpeaceprizecampaignforysr.blogspot.

com’ was launched by `Peace Messiah’ from an `undisclosed location’ on July 8 to coincide with the 60th birthday of the Chief Minister.

Claiming that Peace Messiah was an apolitical and independent think-tank, the blogger said his complete profile would be known shortly.

Reddy deserved Nobel Prize for his historic initiatives benefitting millions of poor and underprivileged people.

The results of the schemes warrant international attention and support of visionaries, the blogger said.

He wanted the people to write letters seeking the Nobel Prize for Rajasekhara Reddy. “Distinguished non-resident Telugus should write to various international dignitaries, professors of foreign universities and directors of peace research institutes and foreign policy institutes about Reddy’s great initiatives in favour of the underprivileged people,” he said.

The blogger posted information on several novel government initiatives like Arogyasri, Abhayahastam, Pavala Vaddi, land for tribals, cooperative farming, fee reimbursement for poor students and slum-free Andhra Pradesh.
