Speculation is a normal feature in the film circuit but sometimes it tends to get exaggerated. Something like that seems to be the case with the lean and lanky hero Varun Sandesh. Apparently, he was making headlines purely for his remuneration and here are a few snippets. It was said that Varun was paid close to Rs 50 Lakhs and after the success of his first two movies, he is said to have quoted Rs 75 Lakhs. However, the truth as per reliable sources is that the film ‘Evaraina Eppudaina’ had fetched him close to Rs 20 Lakhs. Rest all has been speculation and since ‘Evaraina…’ has got flop talk, the fee for next movie may maximum be Rs 15 Lakhs and given the recession, he would be lucky if he gets through with that figure, say industry folks. | |
