It looks like for the Rajus, when the going gets tough, the tough go into hiding. This is specially in the case of Teja Raju who has gone into a self-imposed retreat. Hogging the limelight for all the wrong reasons, Teja Raju has clearly developed a repulsion to the public. After the Satyam scam derailed Maytas Infra Limited’s fortunes, Teja Raju seems to be going to great extents to avoid any contact with the outside world.
So much so that his office on the first floor of Maytas House has started to resemble Fort Knox these days. Visitors have to contend with a hostile reception staff and security guards manning the entrance to the wing that houses Raju’s office, access is restricted to only those with the right swipe cards.
While dad Ramalinga Raju has been forced to bide his time behind bars, son Teja Raju seems to be happy in a hi-tech gaol of his own making. But a little bird tells us that Teja is selective in meeting people but so casually is he dressed that his public appearances go unnoticed. What many wait to see is whether Teja has learnt from his lessons during this secret phase or not.
