The engineering students belonging to two colleges in Krishna district had a fight among them on Wednesday. The fight resulted in major damage to three buses belonging to one college, while some of the students received bleeding injuries.
According to the police, students of Prasad Institute of Sciences at Chillakallu near Jaggaiahpet and Gandhi Institute of Science at Vatsai locked horns for one girl. They pelted stones at each other scaring the rest of the students.
The locals at Chillakallu village on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad national highway were shocked to seen the students fighting. Some of them alerted the Jaggaiahpet police in panic.
The police arrived on the scene and resorted to mild cane charge. The police also took three students into custody and questioning them.
Three buses belonging to the Gandhi Institute of Sciences were damaged partially in the melee.
