Sai Dharam Tej, a nephew of Chiranjeevi, is making his screen debut with the film titled Rey, which is being produced and directed by YVS Chowdary.
The film is a musical love story and the lead pair play the roles of professional dancers. Saiyami Kher is making her debut as the female lead and Shraddha Das plays a pop diva. Music for the film has been composed by Chakri.
The backdrop of the film is completely set in the Caribbean Islands and the US. The shooting of the film was disrupted by about two months when Sai Dharam Tej was injured on the sets and fractured his leg. The shooting of the film is now completed and the unit returned to India.
Post production works will start soon and the film is being planned to be released in December this year.
