Meera Jasmine has landed in trouble for not acting in a film despite taking the advance. Malayalam producer and director KA Devarajan had filed a case against her that she had taken an advance of Rs 5 lakhs from him to do the film Swapnamalika but failed to honour the commitment. CJM court in Kozhikode issues summons on this case. Meera's argument in the case is that after signing the contract, Devarajan had changed the story and started making the film with another heroine Meera approached the Kerala High Court requesting a judge that she should be exempted from making a personal appearance in the court. However, the High Court rejected her appeal and ordered that she should be present at the court on or before August 8.
