Sirish Bharadwaj, the younger son-in-law of PRP founder Chiranjeevi, surrendered before the Nampally Criminal Court in Hyderabad. Sirish has been absconding ever since his estranged wife Srija lodged a complaint with the central crime station a few months ago under sections of dowry harassment and domestic violence laws. He inwardly tried to get anticipatory bail in the case, but it didn’t go well.
Srija had shocked her family by eloping with Shirish and marrying him in 2007. The couple had even approached a court seeking protection from Chiranjeevi. Later Chiranjeevi and his wife accepted the marriage after Srija gave birth to a baby girl. Their daughter Nivrithi is two and a half years old.
