CID to interrogate director Shankar

Director Shankar, who created a gem of a movie Robo now faces a strange situation. He has received notice from the Police from Crime Branch Central Investigation Department (CB CID) to appear before them.

Two writers Amudha Thamizhnadan and Arnika had complained that Shankar had violated their copyrights. They say that the story of Endhiran (Robo) was lifted from their story. The CB CID police hence asked Shankar to offer them an explanation.

Shankar had few days ago said that he was inspired by a Tamil story En Iniya Iyandhira (1980) by Late Sujatha. The story is set in 2021and has some amazing fiction. However, this claim by the two complainants seems to put Shankar in a trap. Let’s hope that Shankar escapes with minimum loss.
