Why Brindavanam is just above average?

The Jr. NTR film Brindavana opened to mixed talk. While the fans of Jr. NTR are rejoicing, the film has very little to celebrate for the fans.

There is noting new in the story or the screenplay. The film is about two girls loving the same boy, conflict of interest, heavy doses of sentiment, silly comedy, average songs and dances.

Vamsi Pydipally seems to have been influenced heavily by films of the sixties and seventies as well as films like Dhee, Chandamama, Ready, Kick etc.

While watching Brindavanam one does not get the feeling that one is watching a new film. In the end Vamsi has churned out a average film that is sure to come as a dampener for all his fans.
