It is well known fact that a controversy is going on between Kalyanram and Gunashekar regarding a title 'Katthi'. Director registered the title a year long back and Kalyanram registered title 'Kalyanram's Katthi' few days back. Director claiming that his film title image may damaged if 'Kalyanram Katthi' is released. He said, "I have written letters to the Film Chamber officials asking them how they allowed Kalyanram to title his movie 'Kalyanram Kathi' when I have already registered my movie's title as "Kathi". There has been no reply from them. Kalyanram is using my film's title and damaging its image. The actor's representatives had asked me to give the title to them and I refused."
