Story:
There is a remote village where people are dying with some unknown diseases. The village priest predicts that a saviour will arrive to safeguard the village.

Then a series of flashbacks, as told to Babjee (Sunil), show Alluri SitaRama Raju (Mahesh) a taxi driver who has to hand over insurance cheque to a family. He comes across Subhashini (Anushka) and both of them get on well together. Raju gets to meet Siddha (Shafi) who is from the remote village and is in fact searching for the predicted saviour and realises that Raju is the one who will save his village.

When Raju lands up in the village he is treated like a god-sent saviour. He has to deal with industrialist GK’s (Prakash Raj) and his evil designs. The rest of the story deals with the complications of the pre-climax leads and how Raju overcomes them.

Performances :

Mahesh Babu is very handsome and elegant. His stylish looks and trendy costumes once again make him a teen heartthrob. True to his image of Prince Charming, Mahesh Babu mesmerizes with this on-screen presence. His action episodes are great and his body language is very energetic.

Anushka, as a demure damsel, is attractive. Her essential impishness fits the role to the T (tee). However, she needs to improve her expressions in emotional scenes.

Rao Ramesh does well as a foreteller – almost the same character like he did in Magadheera.
Shafi also did well as Rao Ramesh’s disciple.

Others
Prakash Raj and Thannikela Bharani are adequate. The comedy track of Ali, Sunil gave few laughs. Brahmi was funny at few places,

Analysis:

One small scene shows the total movie in one line, Mahesh asks one person on road, 10 Rs for himself but his wish will not be fulfilled.again he tried one more person wish to feed a hungry boy. now that person gives 100 rs and goes. Only unselfishness can see the bountiful God. Mahesh Babu says in a dialogue here, “I understood God. He is not hiding anywhere. He is there in every heart. He fulfils wishes only when asked for the well being of others. What the hell Rs 100 when asked for Rs 10…he will shower even lakhs and crores”. This message is packaged and delivered with all commercial elements.

Mani Sharma’s music was not great except for two songs - particularly the Om Namo Siva Rudraya song is absolutely brilliant. But re-recording in action episodes is good. The action sequences of Peter Heins are spell-binding.

Editor Sreekar Prasad perhaps could have done a better job in the second half where the actual plot would be unveiled. It’s a tough call nevertheless for him.Coming to screenplay, that is a bit complicated. Audiences find it a bit difficult to get connected

Mahesh Kaleja turns out to be an average movie. With gigantic expectations and surge in the fan base, Mahesh Khaleja comes with huge expectations.

eRojuStory Verdict: Watch it for Mahesh and with out expectations

Rating : 2.75/5
