There was recently a case booked against producer Allu Aravind for hoisting an Indian flag upside down on Independence Day this year. A case was registered against the film producer for dishonour to the national flag.
However the High Court Judge Justice Reddy Kanta Rao stayed the criminal case against him. In his petition to the court, the senior producer said that he never had the intention to dishonour the flag, and that as soon as he realized the mistake, he rectified it immediately. He had also issued a public apology in this regard.
As a result the High Court stayed the case against Allu Aravind, who is also the General Secretary of Praja Rajyam Party.
