Director Shankar has made his team comprising the best from all over the world for this film. Yuen Woo Ping who designed action scenes for films like ‘The Matrix’ and ‘Crouching Tiger’ etc is the stunt co-co-ordinator for this film. Peter Hein was also part of this action team. Danny Denzongpa, Santhanam and Kalabavan Mani have played key roles in this film.
The special effects part was handled by Industrial Light & Magic that worked for films like ‘Avatar,’ ‘Star Wars,’ and ‘Titanic’ etc. According to inside sources, approx 40% of the budget was spent on the special effects only.
Stan Winston Studios which handled visual effects for Hollywood block buster films like ‘Aliens’ and ‘Jurassic Park’ etc handled the animation part of this film.

Noted overseas film distributing company FICUS has bagged the distribution rights of super star Rajanikanth and Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Bachchan starrer film Robo of its Telugu and Tamil versions. FICUS specially thanked Kalanidhi Maran and Hansraj Saxena of Sun Pictures for giving them this opportunity to work on prestigious project.
