In an incident presumed to be targeted at veteran film producer Daggubati Rama Naidu, some unidentified persons on bikes damaged the cars parked in front of his house in Film Nagar by pelting stones late on Thursday night. The incident occurred a few hours after the announcement came from New Delhi that he was being honoured with the Dada Sahab Phalke award.
The incident took place around 2 am. Some unidentified persons came on two bikes, threw stones on the vehicles parked in and around the Naidu residence in Phase-II of Film Nagar, and fled.The vehicles that were damaged included a Skoda (AP09-BX3939) parked in the garage inside the film producer's residence, and four other cars that were parked outside and belonged to the neighbours, Banjara Hills inspector K Sudershan said. Windshields and window glasses of all the five cars were damaged. A security guard posted at the house saw four persons on two bikes hurling stones at the cars but could not see their number plates. The Skoda was registered on the name of Daggubati and is said to belong to Rama Naidu's son Suresh Babu.
