Genelia D’souza has been finalised to play the lead role in Vipul Shah’s Hindi remake of Tamil super hit Khakha Khakha. The buzz was either Sonam Kapoor or Diana Penty would be signed up, but finally Genelia has replaced Asin in the film opposite John Abraham. The shooting begins this month.
The film will be directed by Nishikant Kamath who has earlier directed the critically acclaimed Marathi film Dombivali fast and Mumbai Meri Jaan.
Genelia has earlier worked with John in Hook Ya Crook but the film has been shelved after 90 per cent of it was shot.
