Addressing a meeting of students ahead of flagging off their vehicles that set out for enrolling members in the students wing of the party, Mr. Rao said on Sunday that he visualised an economically vibrant State.
One hundred cars hired by the party left for as many Assembly constituencies in all Telangana districts, except Warangal, on the membership drive of Telangana Rashtra Students Vibhag and constitution of its committees in all educational institutions. It was left to the students of Kakatiya University to hire cars locally and take up a similar programme in Warangal.
Mr. Rao also promised compulsory and free education from KG to PG in separate Telangana with a social responsibility thrust on police administration to ensure that no child above the age of three was left out of schools.
Congress and TDP leaders from Telangana lack commitment for the development of the region. They were only interested in contracts, running liquor shops and securing tickets in elections, he alleged.
