Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi is terribly upset with the way his MLAs are behaving, taking advantage of his soft nature.
Particularly, the way PRP MLA Shobha Nagi Reddy and her husband Bhuma Nagi Reddy, besides Panyam MLA Katasani Rami Reddy attended the public meeting of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at Nallakaluva on Friday was not taken kindly by the PRP president.
Though initially he thought of brushing it aside as a non-issue and a personal matter of these MLAs, senior leaders like Upendra, Harirama Jogaiah and Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao brought ot his notice that if he kept quiet, it would send wrong signals to the party leaders and cadres; besides exposing his own inefficiency in controlling the party leaders. “This might give scope for many others to openly defy your leadership and that will not augur well for the party,” they said.
Chiranjeevi is learnt to have called for a meeting of PRP’s political affairs committee in a day or two to discuss the issue and take action against the Bhuma couple.
