There's "no girl" in my life: Varun

Teenage heartthrob Varun Sandesh was in high school when he made a T-town splash. A self-confessed “actor by chance” Varun’s lucky streak seems

Brushing up his act: Varun Sandesh
to have continued with Kotha Bangaru Lokam.

His last flick Evvaraina Eppudaina might not have been able to notch up respectable collections at the BO, but it hasn’t dampened his spirits. In fact, it looks like he’s taking mentor Shekar Kammula’s advice seriously and is “eating, sleeping and breathing movies,” and is even taking admission in an acting course a US university.

An acting course after doing three films? “You heard it right. More than mastering the nuances of acting, I’m enrolling in the course to learn more about cinema and film-making. After I became an actor I realised the effort that goes into making each scene,” he explains.

He’s also excited about his new film — a remake of the Tamil hit Pollathavan. “I haven’t done such a role before. I saw the original but the director allowed me to interpret the role in my own way as it covers a gamut of emotions,” he says.

However, he has no reservations discussing his other film which is a remake of the old classic Maro Charitra. “It’s an amazing film,” he says going on to add, “It is being presented in a sleek fashion to attract youngsters and the fresh backdrop and modern outlook will apparently make it more trendy and contemporary.”

So, is he on a signing spree these days? “I am hearing lot of scripts but haven’t signed anything new for the time being,” he avers.

The US-bred youngster feels New Age Hyderabadis sure know how to party in style. He however, likes partying only with close friends (read co-stars of his films). And when he’s not partying or working he goes back to the US to spend time with his friends and family.
Right now he says there’s “no girl” in his life. That explains why he’s so “attached” to his play station!
